3D Environment Artist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating high-quality and optimized 3D environments inside Unreal Engine 5 following a specific art direction and technical constraints, by assembling terrain, buildings, props and other objects
  • Creating 3D high-poly (for Nanite) and Low poly (for LOD’s workflow) photo-realistic models from references, using hard-surface modeling and organic sculpting or other techniques
  • Creating Modular structural assets and Props
  • Working closely with other environment artists, 3D artists, texture and material artists
  • Working in a organized way with efficient workflow to meet project deadlines
  • Working within a defined common and collaborative pipeline

COMPETENCES REQUIRED:

  • Experience in game asset creation
  • 3D modeling : Sculpting, hard-surface
  • UV unwrapping and layout experience
  • Texturing in PBR workflow
  • Understanding the importance of triangles count, texel density, shader complexity
  • Strong sense of realism, details, composition, lightning, colors
  • Be self-motivated
  • Strong Portfolio

SOFTWARES:

Blender (Highly Preferred), Maya, 3D, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine 5, etc.

3D Artist
